3. Natural Resource Damage Assessment Actions.
The Director of Engineering and Aviation
Management is delegated the responsibility for
paragraphs e, l, m (FSM 2100, 2163-2167) and the

c. Pursuant to section 122(j)(1) of CERCLA (42
U.S.C. 9622(j)(1)), notify the Washington Office,
Director of Engineering; the Office of the
General Counsel; other trustees; and potential
responsible parties of injuries to natural resources
resulting from the release or threatened release of
hazardous substances or oil. Encourage
involvement by all other Federal trustees in order
to avoid duplication of effort; expedite the natural
resource damage assessment; and present a
coordinated front to the potentially responsible
parties.
n. When appropriate, enter into an interagency
agreement with the Environmental Protection
Agency (after consultation with the Director of
Engineering, Washington Office) which sets forth
a plan and schedule to achieve and maintain
compliance for a Forest Service facility pursuant

seq.).
