Markus Lange Bundeskartellamt Issues of Unilateral Conduct and Dominance as Addressed by ICN UNCTAD Ad-hoc Expert Group 15 July 2008 ICN – Some Background ICN is an informal network of competition agencies world-wide. Founded in 2001, it has, as of 2008, ca. 100 competition agencies as its members. ICN is - project-oriented - consensus-based - concerned with competition issues that are of relevance internationally see: http://www.internationalcompetitionnetwork.org The main mode of operation of ICN is to elaborate reports on competition law practice in the members’ jurisdictions and to make recommendations to the members on applying competition law principles. The substantive work of ICN is done in several working groups, three out of these deal with: - mergers - cartels - unilateral conduct Unilateral Conduct Working Group (UCWG) The UCWG was established in May 2006, at the occasion of the 5th ICN Annual Conference.
