Please explain.
The material is directly related to my emphasis of IC fabrication. The text was well written and the professor's notes were a great help.
I felt that I learned alot about the course material and liked how alot of previous courses were tied in as well.
This is the only class in a long time, where I have felt like I learned a lot about the material.
I learned so much in this class. The material was interesting and informative. The learning environment was very comfortable, maybe
because the class was so small. I really liked this format.

Dr. Knowlton is one of the most enthusiastic professors on the campus. He clearly has a desire to make absolutely sure that his students
clearly understand the material. The combination of his Powerpoint notes, the book and the classroom discussion made this one of the
best classes I've ever had. He is clearly an expert in the field and was able to give me an excellent understanding of the basics of
materials science without leaving me dazed and feeling like I couldn't grasp the material.
He knew the material very well, was always well prepared for class, and was always willing to help you learn the concepts.
Dr.Knowlton really cares about students and their ability to learn the material.
He was enthusiastic about the material which made us enthusiastic about the material. He explained things very well and made sure we
understood everthing.
Which aspects of the course/instructor did you like best?

10.
I liked Dr. Knowlton's enthusiasm. Also, he has a knack for finding more than one way to explain a concept so that if one way didn't convey
the material, another way would. I enjoyed the small size of the class.
See previous.
The practice tests, the homework sessions helped a lot.
I loved the size of the class. I've never had a class that small before and I really enjoyed myself. The course was interesting and the
instructor was very fair in grading.
What suggestions do you have for improving the course/instructor's performance?

I wouldn't change a thing that Dr. Knowlton does. Having the class so late and only twice a week was a little hard to schedule for, though.
If you have any students taking Calc III at the same time as this class, you may want to hold off on the partial derivatives until they've
covered them in the math department. Then again, I did okay.
The only thing I can think of that would have made the class better for me was if it was earlier in the day. I don't like having to come back
to school after I've already gone home. You're doing a great job and I would recommend this class to anyone who was interested.
