Duties/Responsibilities:
 Provide care and support to children and youths in summer recreational camps
 Plan, organize, and lead activities that offer physical, mental, or emotional development and
learning
 Supervise and monitor children’s participation and safety at all times
 Work with all other camp staff to provide a safe, supportive and fun environment
Requirements/Qualifications:
 University student (subject of study in related field)
 Criminal Record Check, RCMP and Provincial Children's Clearance
 Current Emergency Level 1st Aid, & CPR Level A Certificate, or equivalent
 Negative TB test or clear chest x-ray, doctor's note of good health
 Experience providing support to children with disabilities an asset
 Experience and/or knowledge of issues affecting children with disabilities
 Commitment to values and philosophy of the MVDRC
 Well-developed communication skills
 Flexibility, reliability, punctuality, problem-solving abilities
 Ability to deal with stress and change; effective time management
 Ability to receive and respond to feedback
