Oscars in Agriculture Finding Aid Collection Overview Donated By: Department of Agricultural Communications, University of Illinois Consists of: 9 Boxes Location: ACDC, Funk ACES Library, University of Illinois (closed stacks) Arrangement/Scope and Content Note: The Oscars in Agriculture Collection is organized by date in chronological order starting when the University of Illinois took over the Oscars in Agriculture Program in 1987. The program went until 2002 and was an award to recognize premiere agricultural journalism. From 1987-1997, awards were divided into categories by type of media (newspaper, magazine, radio, or television) and winners were awarded either Merit or Oscars. After 1997, the structure of the program changed, and entries were separated into categories of Junior Category, Senior Category, and Career Contributions in either print or broadcast media. Materials included in this collection are the winning entries of the programs and administrative files. When known, all information about a given winner is listed in this finding aid, as well as contents of the folders (contents listing is not extensive). Some materials have sensitive information, and there are some audiovisual materials that cannot be viewed at the Center. Table of Contents (Boxes) 1. Oscars 1986-1987 2. Oscars 1988-1989 3.
