Call for Student Papers

The 11th Annual Great Lakes Research Consortium Student-Faculty Conference will be held March 16-17, 2001 at the

The conference highlights student research, providing opportunities for students to meet others interested in environmental science and scholarship, particularly as applied to problems related to the Great Lakes. Student presentations will be two types: 1) Results of ongoing or completed research, and 2) Research plans and proposals, which give students who are developing future research plans an opportunity to present their ideas to an audience of peers and faculty. Each presentation is followed by a short discussion of the proposed research design and methods.

There will be several sessions including:

Public Policy Analysis;

Social Science Topics including Economics, Human Dimensions, Social Ecology, and Planning;

Limnology and Ecology including Fisheries, Trophic Interactions, Ecosystem Modeling;

Environmental Chemistry and Toxicology; and

Environmental Engineering and Modeling.

A committee of students will determine final session categories based on the proposals received.

All students presenting at the Conference will receive free registration, including meals at the luncheon and banquet.
