The responsibilities of the person in this position essentially expand those previously held by Betsy Kruger as the Head of Central Circulation and Bookstacks and in part by Gil Witte who moved to IPM. Additionally, this position includes more focus on all aspects of stacks management than we are currently able to provide. . Describe the impact on the Library of not filling this position indefinitely or delaying it for some months. No one will be available to completely focus attention on the many areas of the main stacks that need improvement. This includes overseeing the collection management and records management functions of the stacks as well as significant project management activity. This also includes moving forward with larger initiatives and big picture planning. This will especially be the case when the current Head of CAS position expires.
