What helped you learn in this course?
John was very welcoming of questions and ALWAYS willing to help anyone in need to understand material. He made our understanding of the course material his
priority, and it meant a lot that he cared.
The instructor really explained everything well, the homeworks were really helpful,I found that the more homework questions I do, the more the methods stuck in my
head.
The homework assignments and going to class.
The notes that the professor gave
Teacher is really friendly.
I believe that the instructor was the only thing that helped me learn in the course.
The teacher always gave a review before exams and a review sheet which were extremely helpful.
The instructor helped me learn in this course. It didn''t hurt that I like math. It also helped to show up to the lectures.
John''s attitude toward the subject matter.
The online homework''s due three times a week.
The way the instructor explained the topics was very helpful.
MyMathLab really helped me learn the material through practice.
Our teacher, Mr. Urschel, helped with everything. He explained the content thoroughly and when we didn''t understand still he would make time in his own schedule
outside of office hours to help us understand it more. He is a great teacher and made math fun to learn.
Helped a lot by breaking down a problem in a clear manner.
The small class and instructor interaction really made me interested in the material that was being taught.
NOT ONLINE TEXTBOOKS AND HOMEWORK!

What changes would improve your learning?
Cant think of anything.
eye contact with teacher
None
I don''t think I would make a correction.
I think the speed and pace of the course should have been slowed down a bit.
More practice exams and review sessions for the exams would be helpful.
nothing
Less homework, I felt that there was so much I stopped focusing on learning the material and more on finishing the assignment.
NO ONLINE TEXT AND HOMEWORK
A lot of material is covered in a small amount of time. If there was more time and the teacher could go into deeper explanations, then students will have an easier time
learning the material.
Everything you needed to succeed in this class was readily available.
I thought the class was taught very well and nothing really big comes to mind.
Less content or make it a 4 credit (4 day course)
Make the homework written so as to award partial credit
I would like to see him have more influence on topics and homework, instead of so heavily relying on the book material

What feedback would you like to share about the course?(For example, you may wish to address the helpfulness of the textbook, usefulness
of online materials, difficulty of the material, fairness of the exams, or amount of work required.)
Online material was a bit difficult at times, and a had varying time consuming amount of difficulty or questions. I spent sometimes 30mins while other times I spent 5
hours on a single assignment.
I don''t think the textbook was used affectively. the material was difficult but I believe that the instructor is the key to success to a course like this. I was fortunate
enough to have a good instructor.
The textbook and online materials were very helpful. The material is not all that difficult but it would be better if there was more time. Although the homework was
helpful, there were so many assignments that it was hard to keep up with them and worry about other class assignments. I also wish the exams had more questions on
them. With only 20 questions, it is very difficult to get an A because each question is weighted so much.
You can learn basic knowledges which are very useful to the next level of Mathmetics.
Not have homework 3 times a week.It can be kind of overwhelming.
- didn''t use textbook at all - our online homeworks were very helpful - The exams were fair, with a few trick questions
the online material were really helpful, the exams were also pretty straight forward, the amount of work given and homeworks arent stressful, its just the right amount of
work and I personally find them really beneficial
I did not particularly like having to complete homework online. I prefer to do it on paper
The textbook was not very helpful. Most of my learning was done in class and on mymathlab.
The online homework''s had this feature, where if you were stuck on a problem, there was a detailed example on how to complete it. This was extremely helpful on the
homework''s, as well as very useful while studying for the exams.
I absolutely hate the online e-text and having to do homework online. it does not help with learning because often the answers are formulaic and simple to figure out by
trying the question again. Plus, less attention has to be payed and absorption of the material is minimalized.
There was a lot of information, especially close to the end when we should''ve been settling down and getting ready to leave. I found the last portion of the course very
confusing. Some of the homework assignments could have been much shorter and less confusing, especially close to the end when we should''ve been settling down
and getting ready to leave. The textbook was useful sometimes. However, the materials available on the homework is not always helpful. Sometimes the examples have
nothing to do with the current problem or some of the steps are difficult to understand. The exams and the quizzes were fine.
The amount of work was very overwhelming for the time we had to cover it

What feedback would you like to share about the instructor?(For example, you may wish to address the clarity of explanations, effectiveness
of communication, ability to stimulate critical thinking, class preparation, availability for help, ability to maintain interest, or motivation.)
The instructor was very enthusiastic about math, so that was good. He had a lot of patience with us when we forgot something that he taught or didn''t understand
something he just explained. I liked that he kept us involved in the lessons by asking questions and waiting for answers. He seemed to be flexible with his schedule to
allow us to meet with him for help.
John was very helpful and easily approachable with questions and concerns about the materials.
Very clear, friendly, knowlegable, helpful
John Urschel was extremely nice and he seemed to relate to the students. He seemed happy to be there and very interested in the topic. He was also genuinely
interested in helping students and seemed to care about their success in the class.
The instructor was really great. He was always available to help and really related to the students in and out of the class. He engaged students in discussions and
explained the material very well. He was prepared and motivated the students.
One thing that i did find to be slightly annoying the the press response to my instructor. having a camera in the back of the classroom once or twice would have been
acceptable. Because it happened many times, it was a bit intimidating.
My instructor was incredibly nice, easy to understand and follow, and very helpful in all aspects of the course.
John was great. He knew the material well and helped us all appreciate what we were learning. He made it as enjoyable as math can be!
Although the material learned in class was not very interesting, John managed to keep us engaged while presenting the material with clarity. He was very thorough in his
teachings and always asked if we had questions. I find that the atmosphere he brings to the class creates a comfortable environment, allowing students to absorb the
information more efficiently.
This teacher was very helpful.I felt that he was very positive and approachable. He was also very good at making the explanations of topics easy to understand.
the explanations were really good, I love the interaction he has with his class and that its not just him explaining but actually talking to his students. Instead of him writing
everything down, he asks alot of questions and it really improved my ability to think on the spot, which helped me in my exams. Help is always available, office hours
are good when I dont understand some of the homework questions. I''ve always loved math so I''m really interested in this class which motivates me to want to
succeed.
I thought the class was done very well. They way it was taught for me was awesome as someone who had already taken this type of material.
Our instructor always made himself available for help. It is evident that he spends a lot of time preparing for class and perfecting his lectures to make them more
understandable and simple. He is definitely looking out for us as his students and prepares us for the exams. He is also very friendly and makes learning math fun and
interesting. He is an all around great teacher.
Teacher should explain more precisely about each of problems.
Very well prepared, organized and ambitious instructor. Whenever I needed help or I had questions, he was always willing to help no matter what the scenario.
