News highlights
Lights still on despite coal strike and Winter cold snap. For every 1
degree Centigrade drop in temperature, demand rises by 600-700 MW
during peak time.
City of CT tariffs approved by new Council at 19.94%
Dept Public Works reviewing draft ‘green building framework’ including
a rating tool for public buildings developed with GBCSA.
Despite lack of clarity on govt’s Renewable Energy procurement,
appetite still there. Renewable energy half of world’s installed new
power capacity in 2010.

BMW first green dealership to see electricity costs cut by 30%.
Payback is 3.5-5 years. 2-3 more to be renovated to this standard this
year, and all future dealerships to be green.
