I teach graduate and undergraduate courses and Distance MBA courses in Organization
Development and Change and Leading and Managing in Changing Times and I am also on the
faculty of the CU EMBA Program where I teach High Impact Leadership. In addition I participate
in various CU-sponsored management development programs. My research interests are in
Organization Development, Change, and Transformation, Transformational Leadership, Developing
High Performance Teams, Spirituality in the Workplace, and Stress Management. I have held many
positions in the College of Business such as Director of the MBA Program, Chair of the
Management Department, Director of Teaching Development, Director of the Culture Team, and
Member of the College of Business Strategy Team. In addition, I either led or was on the founding
team of many programs at UCCS such as the first Management Development, Staff Development,
and Teaching Development programs at UCCS, the Distance MBA Program, the Vision Team for
the University, the Vision, Mission, and Core Values Team for the College of Business, the
Innovation Management Program, and the College of Business Alumni Book Club. On an
international scale I have been active in the Academy of Management and other organizations and
am a former Chair of the Academy of Management Organization Development Division. As a
teacher, I am one of two College of Business professors from the three CU campuses to hold the life
time title of President’s Teaching Scholar awarded by the University of Colorado.

Led the team that designed the first UCCS and Colorado Springs Healthcare Community partnership to design management
education programs for the healthcare community. The first program was offered in 2011.
Overall 42 year career Faculty Course Questionnaire rating of 3.74 (4.00 highest possible). Note: The College of Business now
uses a 6.00 scale. Maintained the top overall rating for courses taught in the College of Business.
Appointed the first Director of Teaching Development for the College of Business (Fall 2001).
Involved in multiple teaching forms for the College of Business (Resident graduate courses, resident under-graduate course,
EMBA course, Distance MBA course, Distance Undergraduate course, Winterim course, Summer course).
Active in the University of Colorado President’s Teaching Scholar program.
Helped develop the first CU Annual Teaching Development Conference sponsored by the President’s Teaching Scholars and
available for all CU campuses (2009).
Helped develop and taught in the CU Technology Leadership Program “From Engineering to Management” (1998-2000)
Helped design the Distance MBA Program and developed and taught one of the first two courses in the program. I have
continued to teach the course titled Leading and Managing in Changing Times (1996-Present). Overall student evaluations
