Students pursuing the Bachelor of Arts with a major in music must either complete the minor in arts
administration offered through the theater arts department or one of these three concentrations: applied
studies, music history and literature, or music theory and composition. The 74 credit hours listed below
include the 33 credit hours in common to all music majors, plus the 20 credit hours required for the
concentration. An additional 21 hours of elective hours are also required outside of music. An academic
minor is strongly encouraged.
