1. It was requested that the Bid due date be extended.
Deadlines have been extended to:
Pre-bid questions are due by August 26th, 2015 by 4 pm submitted
electronically to sslate2@uccs.edu.
Addenda issued by UCCS to contractors no later than August 28th, 2015
by 4pm issued electronically.
Bids are due by September 1st, 2015 by 4 pm submitted electronically to
sslate2@uccs.edu.
Review bids the week of September 1st, 2015.
Setup contractor PO the week of September 7th, 2015.
2. It was asked if the contractors would be responsible for relocation of irrigation
lines.
Exclude relocation of any irrigation lines at this point. If that becomes an
issue we will look at having it done in house or negotiating with the
contractor awarded the project.
3. It was discussed widening the trail section from 36” to 48”.
Please proceed with the bid for a 36” wide trail section and provide us a
separate bid for a 48” wide trail section. All associated dimensions will
increase by 12” for the 28” wide trail section.
4. The alignment toward the end of the trail (Sta 29+50 – Sta 32+50) was looked at
and appeared to need some realigning.
This area was laid out using a green flag and crosses the service road at
90 degrees, swings to the south and then loops back to the northwest and
crossed the hill side at an angle to reduce the grade of the trail. If any
contractors would like me to walk this area with them I would be happy to
do so.
5. The spoils storage location was not disclosed in the contract documents.
It has been decided that the spoils will be required to be disposed of
offsite at the expense of the Contractor. We will keep the amended topsoil
generated from behind the Alpine Garage and Field. The location for
disposal of that material will be as shown below.
