Hibist Kassa
Associate of Development Alternatives with Women in a New Era (DAWN)
Ms. Hibist Kassa is an associate of Development Alternatives with Women in a New Era (DAWN). She
has also worked as a Youth Framing Paper Partner with the Inter-Agency Network for Education in
Emergencies (INEE) and is an alumna of DAWN's Africa Regional Training Institute.
Her work has been published in the African Agenda and DAWN Informs. She has also contributed to a
forthcoming book, "The Remaking of Social Contracts" published by Zed books.
Her areas of interest include Labour, Gender, Extractivsm and Climate Change. She is currently working
with DAWN on a project on Gender, Economic and Ecological Justice (GEEJ) in Africa.
