$1,000 Award
 Applicants must be enrolled at Western Illinois
University and pursuing a major in agriculture.
 Applicants must be a resident of McDonough County
and have a junior standing (60 hours) by the end of the
semester of application.
 A minimum grade point average of 3.0 is required.
 A one page, single-spaced essay discussing the
applicant’s view of how government policy impacts
agriculture is required.
 Preference will be given to those applicants that can
document community service and/or active involvement
in university activities.
