 22 Faculty Submitted Proposals in FY 08
 A 38% increase over FY 07 (16 Faculty)
 We submitted 25 proposals to 14 different agencies
 18 proposals were awarded which is a hit rate of

Library Proposal Metrics
 We requested a total of $2,284,073 budget dollars
 We received a total $801,861 award dollars
 The proposals requiring cost sharing participation
were reduced from 80% in FY 07 to 44% in FY 08
Proposals Awarded - Small
 Cherié Weible applied for and received an award from
the State Historical Society of Missouri
 Award was for research for her book manuscript
“Swords and Plowshares”
 The award provided $200 for travel directly related to
the manuscript research.
 No cost sharing required
Proposals Awarded - Large
 Mary Stuart applied for and received an award from
the National Endowment for the Humanities.
 Award was for the Illinois Newspaper Project – Final
Phase
 This $692,222 RENEWAL award was one of the larger
award received by the Library in 2007.
 Cost sharing was required.
