Step Two
Selection criteria:
Submitted abstracts will be reviewed by the
technical steering committee chaired by CRU.
The committee consists of technical experts from
across the sulphur and sulphuric acid industries
and includes representatives from technology and
engineering suppliers, operating companies and
research organisations. The committee assist in
directing the themes for the conference and ensuring
the quality and relevance of submitted abstracts.
The committee encourage submissions highlighting
new developments and demonstrating operational
experience from both operators/producers and
technology suppliers/engineering contractors
Step Three
Formal requirements on acceptance:
CRU will respond to all submitters within 8 weeks of
the deadline for submissions to advise on acceptance.
Abstracts accepted for inclusion in the technical
programme are done so on the basis that successful
submitters will present a formal paper (consisting of
coherent English text accompanied by appropriate
illustrations) by no later than 6 September 2014. If you
do not comply with this requirement CRU reserve the
right to withdraw your acceptance to the programme.
Therefore if you wish to present a paper at Sulphur
2014, please make sure you are able to dedicate the
time required for preparing a paper before submitting
an abstract.

Payment Policy
Registrations can only be confirmed upon receipt of
payment or proof of payment and discounted fees will
only apply when payment is received within the offer
period. If payment is not received before the
conference, delegates will be asked to guarantee
payment at registration with a personal credit card.
Late payments made after the conference will be
subject to a 10% additional administration fee.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellations must be received in writing prior to
22 September 2014 to qualify for a full refund less
10% administration fee. It may be necessary for
reasons beyond the control of the organisers to alter
content, timing and venue. In the unlikely event of
the conference being cancelled or curtailed due to
any reasons beyond the control of CRU Events, or it
is necessary or advisable to relocate or change the
date and/or location of the event, neither CRU
Events, nor its employees will be held liable for
