His presentation is titled ‐ “Lakota Memories of Wounded Knee, 1890: Perspectives of a People." Late Night Breakfast Dec. 11 Final Exams Jerome Greene Presentation Presidential Toast Dec. 12 Commencement Mr. Greene is a retired historian, curator, and manager with the National Park Service and the author of 17 books, four of which deal with South Dakota history, besides numerous articles, reviews, and government history reports, including National Historic Register and National Historic Landmark nominations. A native of northern New York State, he is a U.S. Army veteran, a graduate of Black Hills State University (1968) and the University of South Dakota (1969), and has completed postgraduate work at the University of Oklahoma. BHSU student Chase Vogel reflects on vast opportunities as graduation day nears As Chase Vogel prepares to earn his degree on Dec. 12, he reflects on his time at Black Hills State University and the everlasting impressions the University faculty, staff and students have left him with. Vogel will use his experiences and vast relationships as he applies to become a U.S. Ambassador in Germany. BHSU artist credits faculty, fellow students for creative growth Jessica Hill is creative. And from the moment she stepped on the Black Hills State University campus, she was able to cultivate her creativity as an artist and graphic designer and prepare for a career. On Saturday, Dec. 12, Hill, along with more than 200 candidates for graduation, will walk across the stage in the Donald E. Young Sports & Fitness Center and receive their diploma from BHSU.
