SIGNS OF
ALCOHOL POISONING
In some cases, alcohol consumption may lead to alcohol poisoning and be life
threatening. When a person is experiencing alcohol poisoning, you may notice the
signs below. Seek help immediately.
Call 911

Inability to rouse the person with loud
shouting or vigorous shaking
Inability of a person who was passed out
to remain alert for more than a few minutes
Slow or irregular breathing
Weak pulse, very rapid or very slow pulse
Cold, clammy or bluish skin
Vomiting while passed out, not waking up
after vomiting, or incoherent while
vomiting
