Business Using a computer-based approach, you will develop information and communication technology skills through the use of common business software such as word processors, spreadsheets, databases, presentations, desktop publishing, and website design. BB1 20- Introduction to Business Introduction to Business teaches you how businesses develop, produce, account for and market their products, as well as how to make personal finance decisions about investing and saving our money and using credit wisely. BAF 3M - Financial Accouting Fundamentals $ This course teaches you how to do bookkeeping (a skill valued by employers and entrepreneurs) for service and merchandising businesses, both manually and using computer software. In addition to performing financial analysis, you will also learn about income taxation and investing. BAT 4M - Principles of Financial Accounting $ This course builds on BAF#M! and introduces accounting concepts that will prepare you for post-secondary studies in business. You will learn how to use financial statements for decision making as well as accounting methods for assets, partnerships, and corporations. PREREQUISITE: BAF 3M1 BMI 3C - Marketing: Goods, Services, Events $ In this course students are introduced to the world of marketing. Students will develop their own marketing and promotional strategies including commercials and radio ads. Students will also develop their problem solving and computer skills. BBB 4M - Introduction to International Business $ In this course we examine how international trade affects us all in our everyday lives as consumers. International Business develops students’ business skills (ie. problem solving), digital literacy skills (ie. computer skills), and awareness of ethical issues. Specialist High Skills Major - Business If you are taking business courses - as well as law (CLU3M) you may want to take a Business High Skills Major Program. BOH 4M - Business Leadership $ This course teaches students the necessary skills needed to manage people and understand business. The students then apply the skills and knowledge gained from the course to events they will lead in the school community. IDC 4OY/IDP 4UY - Yearbook In this all-year course you earn two credits. The yearbook is digitally produced. Grade 11 and 12 students who are self-starters, creative, ejoy computers and photography, and are dedicated to creating a strong yearbook should apply.
