Project Description
Asbestos abatement of the Science Building including floor tiles, mastic, duct sealant and
transite; removal of regulated materials (bulbs, ballasts, lab drains) and partial demolition to
accommodate remodeling.
Project Information
1. The Principal Representative has determined that the project schedule is July 16-September
11, 2009.
2. The right is reserved to waive informalities or irregularities and to reject any and all Bids.
3. Bidders may procure Bidding Documents from CTL Thompson, Ft. Collins, Colorado. To
reserve a set of bid documents at the pre-bid meeting, contact CTL Thompson at 970-206-9455.
4. A Deposit of $50.00 will be required for each complete set of Contract Documents. Checks
should be made to CTL Thompson. This deposit shall be a guaranty that the documents will be
returned in good condition.
5. Preference shall be given to Colorado resident bidders and for Colorado labor, as provided by
law.
6. Requirements for bidding will include qualifying with Colorado State Buildings Programs for
construction projects of $150,000 or more at least two (2) working days prior to bid opening. If
you are not yet qualified with State Buildings, request instructions to locate the online form
SC9.1, Contractors' Registration form at the pre-submittal meeting or from the web site
http://www.colorado.gov/dpa/dfp/sbrep (Click on the navigation button State Buildings, then
Contractor's Qualification/Registration Form and then the hyper link below the second paragraph
- Contractor Registration Form). Complete the form and submit electronically to the Office of
the State Architect.
Pre-Bid Meeting A mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting will be held 04/30/2009 02:00 PM at UCCS,
University Center Room 116, 1420 Austin Bluffs Pkwy, Colorado Springs CO 80918,
Comments: You will need to pay at the kiosk to park either in Lot 1 or in the parking
garage. A map of campus and other information can be found at
www.uccs.edu/facsrvs. After the mandatory meeting questions can only be
submitted electronically to rtaylor@uccs.edu. All questions due by 05/04/09.
Responses will be posted at www.uccs.edu/facsrvs by 05/06/09.
Sealed Bids will be received from qualified contractors until this date and time at this location:
