In preparation for this collaboration, Richard Newman and Liza Bielby of The Hinterlands will be holding their first workshop with Hope College students on September 19 from 3:30-6pm in the Studio Theatre. All students are invited to participate, including students who have an interest in design and technical theatre as well as actors. The aim of the workshop is to establish a vocabulary of devising, which we will collectively build upon in further workshops throughout the semester, and ultimately into the production process. We encourage all students to take advantage of this opportunity to work with this innovative, genre-defying group. October 2-4, 9-11, End Days, 7:30 p.m, DeWitt Main Theatre ALL OUR TRAGIC Opportunity On September 20, the Western Theatre History I class will be taking a field trip to Chicago to view The Hypocrites performance of All Our Tragic, a 12-hour marathon of the thirty-two surviving Greek tragedies. Hope College Theatre alum, Emily Casey ‘06, will be performing in this Emily Casey ‘06 world premiere. in All Our Tragic There are 3 seats available in the van for those who would like to join the trip. Assistant Stage Managers Needed If you are interested in participating in one of this fall’s productions as an assistant stage manager, please contact Michelle Bombe at bombe@hope.edu. Assistant stage managers play a vital role in the running of rehearsals and productions and have the opportunity to experience all aspects of the production process. No prior experience is required.
