Mayor congratulates Cape Town International Airport for
winning latest accolade
On behalf of the City of Cape Town, I would like to congratulate Cape
Town International Airport(CTIA) for its latest rating as the ‘Best Airport
in Africa’ in the Airports Council International (ACI) 2012 Airport Service
Quality Awards (ASQ).
The Airports Council International Airport Service Quality Awards are the
premier awards for the airline industry.
CTIA is an integral part of the city’s landscape. It is where many visitors
and potential investors have their first experience of levels of services
offered in the City.
The fact that CTIA has won this award for the third successive year is a
vote of confidence in the airport’s pursuit of excellence in providing
services to passengers of different airlines.
This is in line with this administration objective of building a Well-run City.
Awards like this for local facilities and entities boost the City’s value
proposition.
I hope that this will give impetus to the airport and City’s common goal to
attract more visitors to Cape Town.
This accolade is a tribute to the hard-work of thousands of men and
women who go beyond the call of duty to make CTIA a functional world
class airport.
