Mark Pfoff

Detective Pfoff joined the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office in 2003 after a 20 year career as a computer
engineer working for multiple high tech companies to include, Digital Equipment Corporation, and MCI
Telecommunications Company. He is currently a detective specializing in computer forensics and
computer crimes. He has investigated many fraud, sex assault, crimes against children, and online
cases. He has also assisted in many homicide investigations providing technical support and forensic
examinations of computers, cell phones and other digital evidence. Detective Pfoff has examined
thousands of items of digital evidence to include, computers, laptops, cell phones, flash drives, memory
sticks, and DVD/CDs. He has testified many times in court on a wide range of cases and has been
recognized in court as an expert witness in both computer and cell phone forensics.
