Leon Kelly Bio: Leon Kelly, M.D. is a Deputy Chief Medical Examiner/Forensic Pathologist who has performed forensic autopsies on over 100 homicide victims in the states of Colorado and Texas. He has testified in numerous criminal trials and is an expert in the fields of anatomic pathology, clinical pathology, and forensic pathology. Consulted frequently by prosecuting attorneys, defense attorneys, and civil litigators, he has experience through all phases of homicide investigation and its prosecution. As an expert on strangulation, he has consulted and testified on countless non-fatal strangulation cases often involving domestic violence. Dr. Kelly is also a member of his local and state child death review committees. He is an experienced lecturer to law enforcement, attorneys, and healthcare providers and teaches courses on the investigation of injury and death at the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs (UCCS). Dr. Kelly has also appeared as the forensic pathology consultant on the television show “Homicide Hunter: Lt. Joe Kenda.”
