Course Evaluation Opening Screen
When you log in to Digital Measures Course Response, you will see a list of your courses, the status
and the closing date and time. If the status shows as “Incomplete,” the survey is open and you can
evaluate the class. Please note that you will receive email reminders from Digital Measures Course
Response every three days, and on the last day to complete your evaluation(s), unless all of your
open evaluations show as “Completed” on the opening screen:
The evaluation’s status is “Incomplete.”
The survey is open and you can evaluate
the class.
Course and
instructor
information
The evaluation closes on
the stated date and time.
2
Through Digital Measures Course Response, you may be asked to evaluate a course that lists one or
more instructors. You should be able to tell how many instructors you will be evaluating for a
particular class on the welcome screen:
There are two instructors
listed for this course: Becky
Mussat-Whitlow and Test
Faculty.
There is one instructor listed for
this course: Test Faculty.
3
After you click on a course evaluation, you should see this screen, which displays the course prefix,
course number, section number, course title and instructor(s) for the class.
View of a single-instructor class:
The evaluation questions will apply
to this course (i.e., IPA 2200 02)
and instructor (i.e., Test Faculty).
4
View of a multiple-instructor course:
The evaluation questions will
apply to this course (i.e., IPA
1100 01) and these instructors
(i.e., Becky Mussat-Whitlow
and Test Faculty).
5
“Have you completed or will you be completing an evaluation for this course
in pencil/paper format?”
Once you open an evaluation, the first question you will see is “Have you completed or will you be
completing an evaluation for this course in pencil/paper format?” Similar to a “choose your own
adventure” book, your response to this question will affect where you go next.
If you choose “No”
If you respond “No” to “Have you completed or will you be completing an evaluation for this
course in pencil/paper format?” the evaluation will be displayed:
If you select “No,” you will see the
course evaluation questions.
This is the name of the
instructor for whom you
will be answering the
following instructor
questions.
All of the questions pertaining to the
instructor listed at the top of the box
(i.e., Test Faculty) are included in this
“instructor box.”
6
As shown in the previous screenshot, there are “instructor boxes” that ask questions about a single
instructor. Because of the way results are reported to instructors and administrators, it is important that you consider
only the instructor listed at the top of the box when you answer those questions. In particular, at the end of the
“instructor box,” you will see a comment box. This comment box asks you to provide your
comments about this instructor (i.e., the instructor listed at the top of the “instructor box”). Please
retain your comments for other instructors and/or for the course as a whole until later in the
evaluation:
Add your comments
about this instructor
(i.e., Test Faculty) here.
7
If your course has more than one instructor listed, Section A (Instructor items) will be repeated.
You will see a second “instructor box” with another instructor’s name at the top. Again, only
consider the instructor listed at the top of the “instructor” box while answering these questions:
This is the name of the
instructor for whom you
will be answering the
following instructor
questions.
All of the questions pertaining to
the instructor listed at the top of
the box (e.g., Becky MussatWhitlow) are included in this
“instructor box.”
8
The system will consider your evaluation “Completed” once you submit and confirm your “Yes”
response.
Opt Out Option
If you do not want to answer the course evaluation questions, you can check the box marked “I
decline to fill this out” and submit the evaluation. This option is available at any time. If you select
the “opt out” option at the beginning of the evaluation, you do not have to respond to “Have you
completed or will you be completing an evaluation for this course in pencil/paper format?” or any
additional questions. Once your “opt out” is submitted, Digital Measures Course Response will
show your course evaluation as “Completed” on the opening screen.
View with “I decline to fill this out” selected:
To opt out, check “I decline to fill
this out.”
Then, click “Submit.”
9
View of “I decline to fill this out” and then “Submit.” Please note that you must click “OK” for the system to record
your response(s):
