You should review and familiarize yourself with the policy. Deadlines You must submit your appeal by January 22, 2016 to have a response by February 3rd (to ensure decision before census date). Additional grant, work study funds, and scholarships you may have been offered are subject to cancelation after February 3, 2016. However, if you are past either of the above dates you should still submit an appeal in order to be considered for any Pell grant and/or any remaining loan eligibility you may have. Submission Processing of an appeal will occur within two weeks of receiving your complete packet. It is your responsibility to submit all necessary documentation supporting the circumstances of your appeal. Failure to supply all supporting documentation can seriously delay and/or affect the final appeal decision. Submitting this appeal is not a guarantee that your eligibility will be reinstated. Please type your personal statement on the attached/following form. Your personal statement must include an explanation of extenuating circumstances for each semester you are in violation of the SAP policy and proof of resolution to that circumstance or a detailed plan of action explaining what will ensure your future academic success. If this appeal is maximum attempted hours please attach a copy of your degree audit to this appeal. Notification You will be notified via your UCCS e-mail of the result of your appeal. If your SAP appeal is approved, your approval will require conditions that you must meet every semester until you have fixed your SAP. An appeal decision may impose limitations upon duration of aid eligibility and/or future minimum academic standards. You will be notified of specifics in your Appeal Outcome E-mail. Failure to meet the approval conditions will result in financial aid ineligibility. You can e-mail your complete & signed appeal as an attachment to finaidse@uccs.edu. Your signature certifies that you understand the terms of this appeal and certifies that the information contained within this appeal is complete and accurate.
