Educational Leadership Experience:

Principal Wiley Consolidated Schools

Wiley, Colorado – August 1999 – August 2008

Set and monitored class schedule.

Led curriculum development and alignment in all grades and subject areas.

Provided instructional supervision and evaluation for all k-6 faculty and secondary math and science faculty.

Managed school climate and student safety.

Director Lamar Community College:

Served as project director for a federal title III grant.

Led the development of new programs.

Provided budgetary oversight.

In charge of monthly and annual reporting required by the Department of Education.

Committee and Task Force Work:

Endorsed Diploma Task Force – October 2011 – January 2012

This task was formed as a result of a requirement of SB 08-212. This was a combination of educators from k-12 and higher education led by the Colorado Department of Higher Education. Our charge was to advise on criteria for post work force and career readiness as well as college readiness for graduating high school students.

Colorado Community College Developmental Education Task Force - September 2011 – February 2013

This task force was formed to research best practice in developmental education from exemplary programs across the nation. Our charge was to design a developmental education pathway that would improve student success. We made a recommendation to the State Board of Community Colleges in

February of 2013. Our proposal was accepted.

Colorado Community College Math Core Implementation Team – January 2013 – May 2013

The Math CI was appointed by the Provost for the Colorado Community College System. The team consisted of five math faculty from various areas of the state and one administrator. Our charge was to take the Dev. Ed. Task force recommendations and develop the competencies for new course work to be used by all system colleges. These courses are currently being used. As administrator my college wrote the course proposals and submitted them to the statewide curriculum committee for approval.
