ACTIVITY: 3044A RESEARCH VITAMINS AND MINERALS Group Presentation Vitamins Activity Objectives Student groups will research and present facts on vitamins and minerals to the class. Purpose/Overview With your group, choose 2 vitamins or minerals not yet discussed in class. Research and develop a 5-10 speech. Each group member must participate in the speech. Follow this check-list to ensure you have included all of the required information. • • • • • • Check list for materials to be included in report: General Information about vitamin Major functions in the body Signs of deficiency seen in livestock Show affects on human diets and rations Other useful information procedure Students will prepare a creative presentation to report research findings following the guidelines below. • • • • One visual aid is required (more recommended) Use samples or examples of substance All group members must participate during the presentation A written summary of the presentation must be turned in before the presentation. (this is to discourage 'reading' to the class) Conclusions/Analysis Each group member must prepare two multiple choice test questions that cover the materials presented in the presentation. These questions will be given to the class at the end of the presentation. They should be written on an overhead. This overhead does not fulfill the visual aid requirement of the presentation. Students should allow time to answer questions from classmates at the end of your presentation. As the teacher ask questions and clarify missed or important points.
