Use flash cards to test your partner on Academic Vocabulary that you are presently using in this Health lesson. Make flash cards that show how to add, subtract, multiply and divide fractions with like and unlike denominators. Test your partners on your team. LANGUAGE OBJECTIVE SWBAT calculate given percentages of quantities and solve problems at the end of week using academic vocabulary percent and proportion. Students will know the relationship between health and wellness, keeping their physical, mental/emotional, and social health in balance using academic vocabulary health, wellness, habit, advocacy, prevention, refusal skills. Students will perform calculations and solve problems adding, subtracting, dividing, and multiplying fractions with same and unlike denominators. STANDARDS By the end of the week, students will be able to demonstrate an understanding of how to find the percent of a number. By the end of the week, students will know how to balance their health triangle and perform a self assessment on themselves in the classroom. By the end of the week, students will be able to solve problems involving the addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication of simple fractions with line and unlike denominators. How do you solve fractions with like and unlike denominators? HOMEWORK Do Problems 1 to 36, page 346 Percent of a Number. Do Problems 1 to 43, page 353-354 The Percent of Proportions. Do CPM Section 7.1.1 page 317-321. Do Chapter 1: Living a Healthy Life, pages 1 to 28. Complete all work in the Health Workbook for Chapter 1. Make the Chapter 1 foldable. Copy the academic words and define on card and test your partner each day. Copy Chapter 3 Test, problems 1 to 20, page 50 and 51 and do as homework. Copy Chapter 3 Standards Practice on page 52 and 53. TEST Your test will be problems 1 to 25 on page 346. Your test will be Chapter 1 Assessment on page 28, questions 1 to 20. Make sure to write the questions and answers. Your will be Chapter 3 Standards Practice, problems 1 to 12, on page 52 and 53. Copy questions please.
