setting. Could you see yourself creating a social
contract at home. Why or why not? Do you
think it would work at home, why or why not?

already possess?
• If you had a social contract in 5th grade, did it
work? If so, why? If not, why not?

is playing. If you finish answering the journal
questions, write about how you are feeling.
• What is a leader? What are the qualities a leader
would have?
– Answer on your own, then share with your neighbor.
• Purpose of Teen Leadership
• Teen leadership was developed because we
believe in you and your potential. Our desire is
for you to grow in character and vision, so that
you will be prepared for the challenges of
leadership.
• The purpose of the program is simple….. It is
to teach you this:
–Personal, relational and leadership skills
• to teach you how to:
– walk, talk, make a good impression, present your
ideas, think for yourself, work with difficult people,
and seek personal excellence in the face of difficulty.
– Besides having the skills of a leader, you must also
know the underlying principles by which leaders make
decisions and lead their lives. The bottom line is that
we believe you can do so much more than you have
dared to believe! It’s time now for you to believe in
yourself !
• Let’s get into groups of 3 or 4.
• Each group needs a marker and a piece of
paper.
• Brainstorm and write down on the paper:
– What is a leader? What are the qualities a leader
would have? (5 minutes)
Now, hang up the poster, somewhere in the room and
as a group, rotate to each poster and add the ideas
you had. Be sure to visit each poster. (15 minutes)

• How can we show our school rocks?
