WHAT IS GEOGRAPHY?
Draw this mind map in your book. On each branch, write what you
think Geography might be. Do this before you continue to the other
slides.

GEOGRAPHY is the study of the world around
us. There are three types of Geography.
PHYSICAL GEOGRAPHY is about what the
natural things on earth are like.
HUMAN GEOGRAPHY is about how and where
people live.
ENVIRONMENTAL GEOGRAPHY is about how
people impact their surroundings.
