This course prepares students to understand economic activities and challenges of individuals and families, the role of lifestyle goals
in education and career choices, procedures in a successful job search, financial forms used in independent living, and shopping
options and practices for meeting consumer needs. The course also prepares students to understand consumer rights, responsibilities,
and information, protect personal and family resources, and apply procedures for managing personal finances.

Standard daily assignment:
We will be using college-ruled spiral bound notebooks and turning them into a personal text, calling them Interactive
Student Notebooks. All notes and activities will be put into these notebooks. Notebooks will be taken up unannounced,
usually biweekly, for a grade. When absent it will be VERY IMPORTANT you check with your classmates to catch up. It IS
YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO CHECK THE ABSENT FOLDER UPON RETURNING TO SCHOOL.
Tardies:
You are expected to be in the room when the bell rings. If you are out in the hall, in the bathroom, or elsewhere, you will be
counted tardy. 3 Tardies = 1 absence; 4th tardy will result in a write up.
Grades and Weights:
A=100-90
B=89-80
C=79-70
D=69-60
F=59 and below
