• Look at the following pictures… Do you think
they are radical or extreme!?
This portrait of the society beauty,
Madame Gautreau, reveals
décolletage and initially showed
her right strap off her shoulder.
Tame by 2014 standards, but the
Paris Salon of 1884 was mortified.
Le dé jeunersurl'herbe is a large oil on canvas painting by Édouard Manet
created in 1862 and 1863. The painting depicts the juxtaposition of a female
nude and a scantily dressed female bather on a picnic with two fully dressed
men in a rural setting. Rejected by the Salon jury of 1863, Manet seized the
opportunity to exhibit this and two other paintings, in the 1863 Salon des
Refusés,[1] where the painting sparked public notoriety and controversy.

and jumbled his own life events! Because
he is so important and does not have the
time to fix them, he hired you to help
him out!
He hired you to put his life events back in
order-but wait! His secretive assistant is out to
sabotage him and messed with the dates! All
the years are correct but he changed the years
and added BC, BCE, CE, and AD just to mess
with you!
Your Task:
• Place the events in order as fast as you can.
• As long as they are in the correct order, you’ve
completed your task.
So, now that you are experts on
chronology, let’s master another thing
that really affects you:
