Who I am: I’m Richard Tolbert, a Client Partner for Franklin Covey. I am also a husband to my wife of 16 years and a father to 5 great kids! In addition to my family and professional life, I am a music lover, traveler and person of faith. What I do: I LOVE helping organizations improve performance! We accomplish that by helping them change the behaviors of their employees. Our mission is to enable greatness in people and organizations everywhere. Inherent in that is a strong belief that human beings are capable of great things! Their ingenuity, creativity and ability to overcome obstacles can be unleashed though deliberate and well-designed learning and development. Favorite Quote/Book, etc: I, of course, love Franklin Covey’s content, however, the one quote I like the most comes from Earl Nightingale’s The Strangest Secret. In it, he says: “Most people tell you they want to make money…The only people who make money work in a mint. The rest of us must earn money…The only way to earn money is by providing people with services or products which are needed and useful.” I like this because I’m a firm believer in service. I’m passionate about being of service to others, and love that I have a career that allows me to earn a living by being of service and help to others. I get great satisfaction by seeing people and organizations succeed by learning and growing. What I’d like to share: I’d enjoy the opportunity to sit down with any of my ATD peers to discuss opportunities to collaborate.
