Mrs. Schallmo’s Tuesday News December 1, 2015 EXTRA!! EXTRA!! TUESDAY NEWS!! Dear Room 18 Families~ Congratulations to my November Homework Heroes…they were awarded with a sweet treat today for their disciplined efforts. This Friday all Egyptian projects are due. Remember, this is a three part project: 1) a 2 page typed essay about the topic SPECIAL REQUESTS Take a look at your child’s AR report in his/her Tuesday envelope. Reading nightly directly impacts your child’s successes in reading. If your child is not currently shooting for 20 pages (approx. 30-45 min.), please work to make this a part of his/ her nightly routine. Christmas Craft Day is scheduled for 12/17. Students will rotate through 6-8 activities. Please look for a list of requested supplies to come home Friday and look around the house for anything you might be able to offer. We will also need parent help. Please email me if you can be available on the 17th. THE WEEK AHEAD… **This coming week, we are focusing on citing evidence from text to support our thinking. It will be raining, so please advise your child to dress accordingly. Please carefully review the note inside your child’s Tuesday folder about this trip. Thank you to our chaperones! This Thursday is the annual Barnes and Noble Book Fair. A portion of the proceeds come back to Cobblestone. Mrs. Goddard is hoping that our students show up at 7pm to sing (we have been practicing carols & many of my students are eager to sing). Please stop by if you can.
