FIVE OF THE FEW: THE KU KLUX KLAN AND THE AMERICAN TEA PARTY
The Ku Klux Klan (KKK) is the “collective” name for a number of American “hate” groups, and they have
an extensive history within the United States.
Originally, the name was created by combining the Greek word, kyklos (“circle”), with the English word,
“clan”: meaning, “Circle of Brothers.”
(A “hate” group is an organized movement that “advocates and practices hatred, hostility, or violence
towards members of a race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation”, or other categories of “diversity”.)
“Hate” groups prosper in times of social and economic “uncertainty (The Ordeal of Change, Eric Hoffer,
i963).
Their members are psychologically and emotionally very similar (The True Believer, Eric Hoffer, 1951).
(That is, extreme elements of society need to find and punish members of “generalized” groups that
they can blame for the “uncertainty and fear” that they are experiencing. Frequently, the “generalized”
groups must be “de-humanized and/or disenfranchised” in order to rationalize and to justify the hatred
of thought and/or the hatred of action which is being directed toward them.
Thus, and in the terminology of “group dynamics”, “hate” groups seek and find “scapegoats” in order to
relieve their “psychological stress” as well as to relieve the “psychological stress” of the larger
population that they are a part: “hate” groups “displace” the anger and the fear from the members who
are responsible [the “oligarchic” elements] toward members who are not [the “non-oligarchic
elements].
And, “hate” groups are an American and global phenomenon.)
The Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) has estimated that the United States has experience an
increase in “hate group” activity of over 50% between 2000 and 2010.
Worldwide, no reliable data could be found since “comparison” methodologies are extremely difficult to
establish with any degree of validity.
One way of conceptualizing the history of the “Brothers” is to view it as temporally segmented: that is,
(1) the Klan of 1865-1874; (2) the Klan of 1915-1944; (3) the Klan of 1950-1965; and (4) the Klan of 1970to the present.
Temporal segments “1” and “2” will be discussed below.
To re-emphasize, the KKK is extreme; it is conservative; it is Christian; it is racist (“White is right.”); it is
superior (“true believers” in American Exceptualism); and it is homicidal (“burn and hang them all”).
(1)The Klan of 1865-1874:
The original KKK was founded in Pulaski, Tennessee by veterans of the Confederate Army in 1865.
And, this “Circle of Brothers” was founded as a “terrorist” organization.
(These “hate” groups of “privileged”, military, homicidal racists decided “to put things right” [“to put the
‘fear of white’ into those people”]. After losing the American Civil War [1961-1965] to the United States
of America (the “Union”), the “Brothers” of the Reconstruction Era [1865-1877] decided to declare war
on their fellow, U. S. citizens: on the southern, emancipated “blacks” and on the Northern
“sympathizers” and on the “carpetbaggers” [northern “opportunists”]).
Nathan Bedford Forrest was the first “Grand Wizard” of the Pulaski “Brothers” (1967-1969).
The “Grand Wizard” was a wealthy businessperson by the beginning of the American Civil War. He
achieved his wealth through planting, real estate investing, and slave trading. He was an extreme,
conservative Christian who would murder anyone for his “causes”, especially if you were “southern”
and/or “black” and/or just “different.”
This “Wizard of the Saddle” was known for his unique “abilities” from the Battle of Fort Pillow. He
enjoyed demonstrating “his gift for strategy and for his gift for tactics”
(The Fort Pillow Massacre was fought on April 12, 1864 at Fort Pillow in Henning, Tennessee. The battle
ended with a massacre of surrendering, federal, “black” and “white” soldiers [297 victims] under the
command of General Forrest.)
President Jefferson Davis (of the Confederate States of America [CSA]) and General Robert E. Lee
(Commander of the Army of Northern Virginia) felt that the Confederate “high” command “failed to fully
utilize General Forrest’s” unique, military talents.
Have you ever wondered why the CSA lost the American Civil War? Among other “reasons”, it was
because of too many commanders like the “Wizard of Pillow Fort.”
Although the organizational level of the KKK was more localized, a number of groups arose across the
South.
These “new” groups adopted the name and the methods of the original, Pulaski group.
Therefore, the Southern “oligarchs” were determined to lose the American Civil War a second time:
and, that loss started with the passing of the Civil Rights Act of 1871.
The “oligarchic” President, Ulysses S. Grant (1869-1877), requested, legislative authority from the U. S.
Congress because of the crises of “widespread racial terrorism in the Deep South”, particularly, in the
state of South “the first to secede” Carolina.
Grant refused to intervene unless he had that “legislated” authority.
Within a month of his request, the Ku Klux Act of 1871 was passed. An Act to Enforce the Provisions of
the Fourteenth Amendment of the Constitution of the United States, and for Other Purposes allowed
Grant to take action on his own initiative and to suspend the right of habeas corpus (a Latin phrase
which means, “you may have the body”).
(Habeas corpus is a writ [“a formal written order issued by a body with administrative authority and/or
administrative jurisdiction”], or legal action, through which a prisoner can be released from unlawful
detention.)
And, Grant did not hesitate to use his “new” authority. He declared war on the “Circles of Brothers.” He
“dismantled” their many organizations to the point that they did not resurface until the first part of the
Twentieth Century.
(Still, other “hate” groups arose to replace them.)
Because of Grant’s actions, the “Circles of Brothers” (aka, the Confederate Army of America) lost the
Second American Civil War (1871-1877).
(Ironically, Grant won the civil war twice: once as a general and once as a president.)
(2) The Klan of 1915-1944:
The Klan of 1915 was founded by William J. Simmons at Stone Mountain, outside of Atlanta, Georgia.
The “focus” of bigotry was widen (under Simmons) from “black” racism to the hatred of immigrants, to
the hatred of Roman Catholics, to the hatred of “Jews”, and to the love of imposing extreme, “rightist”
social ideologies (for example, prohibition of alcohol) upon the American many.
Most of the founders of this “new” group were members of the “Knights of Mary Phagan” which
organized around the trial of the Yankee businessperson, Leo Max Frank (1884-1915).
Eventually, Frank was convicted of the murder of Mary Phagan (He was innocent!). The “Knights” (25,
armed men) kidnapped him from prison a few months later, and they killed him by hanging on August
17, 1915.
Who cares, right, “Just another parasitic Jew?” A crowd gathered around his lifeless body, and they
repeatedly kicked it. Others in the crowd took photographs; took pieces of his cloths; and took bits of
the rope that was used to hang him: the “trophies” of “bigotry.”
The names of the murders were not made public until January of 2000.
Stephen J. Goldfarb, an Atlanta librarian, published the names of these murders on his website.
Goldfarb’s list included a former governor, the son of a senator, a Methodist minister, a state legislator,
and a former Superior court judge.
The “Knights” were afraid of hanging this “Jew”: it was rumored that he had fought in the “Valley of
Elah.”
William Joseph “the Fraud” Simmons was the “Imperial Wizard” of this newly, “re-constituted” Klan
from 1915 to 1922.
Simmons was a fraud who liked to be called “Doc” (a reference to medical training that he never
received), “Colonel” (a manufactured rank that he acquired from his activity with Woodmen of the
World), and more simply “Joe” (which was the “familiar” form of his middle name).
The movie, The Birth of a Nation, inspired “the Fraud” to attempt to rebuild the “Circle of Brothers” of
1865. Even though the movie was an obvious “mixture of lies and propaganda”, “Joey” could not tell
the difference: he was impressed by this movie anyway.
For example, “Joe” really, really liked the idea of “burning crosses.” The imagery of the “burning cross”
did not exist with the original “Brothers.” The movie had taken the imagery from the works of Thomas
Dixon, Jr. who in turn was inspired by the ancient stories of the Scottish clans. Also, this imagery
appeared in one of the works of Walter Scott (Lady of the Lake, 1883).
Parenthetically, the Scottish clans had burned crosses as a “method of signaling” to each other “from
one hilltop to the next”: not as a method for terrorizing “diversity.”
Other past leaders of the “Circle of Brothers” were: Hiram Wesley Evans (1922-1939), James A.
Colescott (1939-1944), Samuel Green (1946), Jeff Berry, Samuel Bowers, David Duke, Virgil Lee Griffin,
Thomas Robb, and David Wayne Hull.
David Ernest “the Candidate” Duke (a former “Grand Wizard” [of the “Circle of Brothers”] and a former,
Republican Louisiana State Representative) desires to be President of the United States. And, he is
seeking the endorsement of the Koch Brothers’ Tea Party in order to help him with his need for
American “immortality.”
(See e-article “1” on this website for “background” information on the origins of the Tea Party.)
The “Candidate” is a convicted criminal, an extremist, a conservative, and a Christian “bigot” who “lives
to run for office.” He has run, unsuccessfully, for the Louisiana State Senate, for the Governor of
Louisiana, for the U. S. House and for U. S. Senate, and for the U. S. Presidency: in the campaigns of
1988 (Democratic Party) and of 1992 (Republican Party).
(The “Candidate” has been legally disqualified from running for public office [in the United States] due
to his guilty plea in his tax evasion case [in 2002]. Also, the “Candidate” has been living in Salzburg,
Austria since 2009 [from where he runs his internet businesses]. Still, he claims that he is a resident of
the United States.)
The “Candidate” hates the “Jews” (He is a neo-Nazi.), the African-Americans, the immigrants of “all sizes
and shapes”, the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), and “diversity” in general. He supports the U. S.
Constitution when it agrees with him (which is rarely), and he is a supporter of pro-Christian, “family
values” except when it comes to being faithful to one woman (His ex-wife, Chloe Hardin-Black, divorced
him because of his compulsive “womanizing.”).
The American Tea Party (2009-present) or the Koch Brothers’ Tea Party is one of the newest, “hate”
groups or “political” parties. In truth, it is not even a political party. More simply, it is one of the many
“front” organizations [It helps to fund the political campaigns of extreme candidates who share the
same political views of its members and of a number of its donors [Kroch Industries, Inc., ExxonMobil,
the “Wall Street” financial institutions, etc.] of the American few.
(Other “front” groups for these American “oligarchs” are: the American Legislative Exchange Council
[ALEC], David Bossie’s Citizens United, Karl Rove’s American Crossroads [Rupert “the Hacker” Murdoch
of News Corporation likes to funnel his “contributions” through this “secret” funding organization.], John
Roberts’s Supreme Court of the United States “for the Oligarchs” [SCOTUSFTO], “selected”, state
executives [governors], and “selected”, state and federal legislators.)
The “Candidate” is a perfect fit, both psychologically and emotionally, for the Koch Brothers’ Party: they
like endorsing politicians who wish to transform the American many into “lamp shades” based upon the
“neo-Nazi” doctrine of American Exceptualism.
(See e-article “1” on this website for more “background” information.)
Is it not a shame that “convicted” criminals like the “Candidate” are excluded from holding public office
in the United States of America? Robert’s court would change this “limitation”: his corporate masters
only have to ask.
Did you know that the “Candidate” was arrested by the Czech Republic (in 2009) on the suspicion of
“denying or approving of the Nazi genocide and other Nazi crimes?” It must have been one of those
“neo-Nazi” body guards (Narodni Odpor) who brought attention to the Koch Brothers’ Party’s candidate
for the President of the United “Corporate” States of America (UCSA).
The American reader should be reminded that European governments are especially sensitive to the
activities of “hate” groups (such as that of Narodni Odpor) since the genocides of World War II [19391945]. Some Czech politicians stated that they would not allow “a Jewish, human skin, lamp shade
factory” into the Czech Republic. After all, the Czech Republic was not the Nazi Germany of the 1930’s
and the 1940’s.
Obviously, the European countries have learned what the Nazi can do to their “perceived” inferiors.
To hell with the “oligarchs” (the Koch Brothers, Rupert “the Hacker” Murdoch, and their other,
“oligarchic” friends) and their “familiars” (the “Circle of Brothers” from any era, all the “hate” groups
from the past, the present and the future, and with a “honorable” mention to their only real god, the
Nazi Party of Adolph Hitler, the National Socialist German Workers’ Party [NSGWP], which was born in
1919 and which died on April 30,1945 in the “Valley of Elah”),
