Going Solo • In 1984, while on the “Victory Tour” with his brothers, Michael announced he would be leaving the group and starting his solo career. Pepsi In 1984 Michael and his brothers had signed with Pepsi to do a commercial. While recording, a firework went off earlier then it should have and caught his hair on fire. This is said to have started his addiction to drugs and plastic surgery. Pepsi 1993 Trial Summer of 1993 Michael was accused of sexual abuse by a 13 year old boy. The cause of his death was due to his addiction to Propofol.
