Student transcripts will carry the AP
designation, which means colleges will
recognize the rigorous content
 Students taking AP Language are taking a
course similar to a writing course taught
during the first year of college
 Students may take the Advanced
Placement test in the spring

WHAT DOES AN AP CLASS
MEAN AT NORTHVIEW?
You will have a “weighted” grade, allowing
you up to a 5.0 GPA
 You will be in a class with college-bound
students
 You will follow a syllabus approved by the
AP Course Auditors
