To Whom It May Concern,
Optimum7’s advertisement of an Information Technology (IT) internship on September 16, 2011 at Florida
International University’s Internship Fair is of particular interest to me. I am eager to use this opportunity to
learn more and to put my knowledge and skill to work as a team member in your company. My education
and experience meet your requirements for the IT position.
I am currently a junior majoring in Information Technology at Florida International University (FIU). I acquired
an A.A in Management Information Systems at Broward College, and the chance to work for a company
such as Optimum7 is exactly the opportunity I have sought. I am easy to work with, love to learn new things,
organize. More importantly, an internship with Optimum7 would be mutually beneficial. Your company has an
admirable reputation, and I know that the combination of my education, knowledge, and motivation to
excel will benefit your company considerably.
The included resume details my experience in Basic PC trouble shooting at Torres Insurance Agency, where I
worked not only as a data entry clerk but also as an assistant to the Information Technology technician. In
this capacity, I dealt regularly with the upgrading and maintenance of hardware, software and network
related problems encountered by users of the network and installing new computer technology. Previously,
at Cisco Academy Apprentice Program, I upgraded and tested network infrastructures in various MiamiDade County Public schools, providing customer service and opening trouble tickets for customers who
faced a wide range of communications and equipment difficulties. The internship opportunity at Optimum7
is the ideal chance for me to apply my skills for the benefit of many.
Thank you for reviewing my qualifications, and please feel free to contact me if you have any questions. I
look forward to speaking with you about this terrific internship opportunity.
Sincerely,
Zaydus Ortiz
