MATTHEW 24:11
• “And many false prophets shall rise, and
shall deceive many.”

damnable heresies, even denying the
Lord that bought them….”

• And he (Jesus) said unto them, “Ye
are from beneath; I am from above:
ye are of this world; I am not of this

ye shall die in your sins: for if ye
believe not that I am he, ye shall die

JESUS SAID, I AM HE!
• Did you notice that the Biblical text had
the word, HE, in italics (KJV; NASB)?
• “He” is not in the Greek text!
• Jesus said, quite literally, “I AM.”
• “I AM” IS THE SAME GOD THAT
MET MOSES AT THE BURNING
BUSH!
EXODUS 3:14, 15
• “And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I
AM: and He said, Thus shalt thou say unto
the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me
unto you. And God said moreover unto
Moses, Thus shalt thou say unto the
children of Israel, the Lord God of your
fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of
Isaac, and the God of Jacob hath sent me
unto you: this is my name forever….”
“…THIS IS MY NAME FOREVER….”
• In Exodus 3:13-15 the God of the Bible
identifies Himself as the Eternal Jehovah.
• Jesus, by calling himself “I AM” identifies Himself as the Eternal Jehovah.
• Jesus, as the 2nd person of the Trinity, is
God Who has always existed, Who exists
in the present and Who will always exist
in the future!
THE TRINITY: ROMANS 1:20
• “For the invisible things of him from the
creation of the world are clearly seen,
being understood by the things that are
made, even his eternal power and
Godhead; so that they are without
excuse.”
• Godhead=Trinity=seen in the “made”
“In the beginning God created.”
 “God”
(Elohim) is plural.
 “Created” is singular (Heb: He created)
 Did God make a grammatical mistake?
 Same as saying “They was.”
 God is a plurality and a singularity.
 The God of the Bible is three in one.
 Father, Son and Holy Spirit = One God
In the beginning God created
the heavens and the earth.
 OneUniverse
is three: time, space, matter
 “In the beginning…” = Time
 “...God created the heavens…” = Space
 “...And the earth.” = Matter
 Time = Past, Present, Future
 Space = Width, Depth, Height
 Matter = Solid, Liquid, Gas
SATAN AND JESUS:
SPIRIT BROTHERS?
• Jesus and Satan are referred to as spirit
brothers. (Mormon Doctrine, p. 129,192)
• “For unto which of the angels said he
at any time, Thou art my son, this
day have I begotten thee? And again,
I will be to him a Father, and he
shall be to me a Son? Hebrews 1:5
SATAN AND JESUS:
SPIRIT BROTHERS?
• “And again, when he bringeth
in the first begotten into the
world, he saith, And let all the
angels of God worship him.”
Hebrews 1:6
MATTHEW 4:6a, 7
• The devil said to Jesus: “If thou be the
Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is
written, He shall give his angels charge
concerning thee:…” Jesus said unto him,
• “It is written again, Thou shalt
not tempt the Lord thy God.”
• Jesus calls Himself the Lord God!!!!!
POLYTHEISTS, MONOTHEISTS
AND TRINITARIANS
• “For though there be that are called gods
whether in heaven or in earth, (as there
be [so-called] gods many, and lords
many), But to us there is but one God, the
Father, of whom are all things, and one
Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all
things and we by him.” 1 Corinthians 8:5,6
EPHESIANS 4:4-7
• “There is one body, and one Spirit, even
as ye are called in one hope of your
calling; One Lord, one faith, one baptism,
One God and Father of all, who is above
all, and through all, and in you all. But to
every one of us is given grace according
to the measure of the gift of Christ.
MORMONS are POLYTHEISTS
• Among the spirit children of
Elohim, the firstborn was and
is Jehovah or Jesus Christ, to
whom all others are juniors.
• Jesus is God’s only Son!

MORMONS are POLYTHEISTS
• “Three separate personages--Father, Son and
Holy Ghost--comprise the Godhead. As each of
these persons is a God, it is evident, from this
standpoint alone, that a plurality of God
exists…these three are the only Gods we
worship. But in addition there is an infinite
number of holy personages, drawn from worlds
without number, who have passed on to
exultation and are thus gods.” (Mormon Doctrine, p.576
MORMONS are POLYTHEISTS
• “I will preach on the plurality of
Gods… I wish to declare I have
always and in all congregations when
I have preached on the subject of
Deity, it has been the plurality of
Gods.” (Teachings of the Prophet

• “Many men say there is one God; the
Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost
are only one God. I say that is a
strange God anyhow--three in one,
and one in three! It is a curious

• “Before the mountains were
brought forth, or ever thou hadst
formed the earth and the world,

“PROPHET” JOSEPH SMITH
• Born December 23, 1805 in Sharon, VT.
• In 1820 Smith claimed he was visited by
God the Father and God the Son(2 gods)
• “Jesus” told him all Christian churches
were wrong and their doctrines an abomination. (Joseph Smith-History 19, Pearl of Great Price)
• 1823:Angel Moroni lead Smith to the
golden plates near Palmyra, NY.
BOOK OF MORMON
• The Book of Mormon, for Mormons, has
more authority than the Bible.
• The golden plates that Smith supposedly
translated into the Book of Mormon were
stated to have been hidden from 420 A.D.
until September 22, 1823 when he found
them in the “Hill Cumorah.”
• Mormons+RCLDS use Book of Mormon
MORMON DOCTRINE
• TRINITY: Smith said: “I have always
declared God to be a distinct personage,
Jesus Christ a separate and distinct personage from God the Father, and the
Holy Ghost was a distinct personage and
a Spirit: these three constitute three distinct personages and three distinct
Gods.” (Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith, p. 370)
MORMON DOCTRINE
• GOD THE FATHER: Smith said: “I am
going to tell you how God came to be God.
We have imagined and supposed that God
was God from all eternity. I will refute that
idea and take away the veil so that you may
see….He was once a man like us, yea, that
God Himself, the father of us all, dwelt on
earth, the same as Jesus Christ Himself
did….” History of the Church, vol.6, p. 305
MORMON DOCTRINE
• “Mormon prophets have continuously
taught the sublime truth that God the
Eternal Father was once a mortal man
who passed through a school of earth life
similar to that through which we are now
passing.” Gospel Through the Ages,

HEAVENLY FATHER WAS A
MAN LIKE US
• “He (Jesus) came here, was born, had a
father and mother like you have. Well,
who wer His father? Why God had a
father like you and I have.” (Gospel
Truth, George Cannon, p. 128)
• “As man is, God once was; as God is,
man may become.” (a Mormon saying)

• “God is not a man, that
he should lie; neither the
son of man, that he
should repent….”

ELOHIM (GOD) HAD
ANCESTORS?
• Is there a God beside me? Yea, there is no
God; I know not any.” Isaiah 44:8b

• “…before me there was no God formed,
neither shall there be after me.” Isa 43:10
MORMON DOCTRINE
• GOD THE SON: “The birth of the
Saviour’s was as natural as are the births
of our children; it was the result of
natural action. He partook of flesh and
blood, was begotten of his Father, as we
were of our father” (Journal of Discourses, vol. 8, p. 115).
• Christ…was born in the same personal, real, and literal
sense that any mortal son is born to a mortal father.
(Mormon Doctrine, p. 742)
Jesus was the bridegroom at the marriage
of Cana of Galilee, and he told them what
• to do….We say it was Jesus Christ who
was married, to be brought into the
relation whereby he could see his seed before he was crucified.” Journal of
Discourses, vol. 2 p. 82
• “Jesus Christ was married at Cana…
Mary, Martha, and others were his wives,
and that he begat children” Ibid. p. 210
JESUS WAS NOT MARRIED
AT CANA OF GALILEE
• At Cana Jesus said, “Mine hour is not yet
come.” John 2:4

• “Father, save me from this hour: but for

JESUS WAS NOT MARRIED
AT CANA OF GALILEE
• “Now before the feast of the passover,
when Jesus knew that his hour was come
that he should depart out of this world
unto the Father….” John 13:1
• “These words Jesus spake, and lifted up
his eyes to heaven and said, Father, the
hour is come; glorify thy Son….” Jn 17:1
THERE ARE NO MARRIAGES
IN HEAVEN
• Matthew 22:18f: “Therefore in the
resurrection whose wife shall she be of
the seven? for they all had her. Jesus answered…Ye do err, not knowing the
scriptures, nor the power of God. For in
the resurrection they neither marry, nor
are given in marriage, but are as the
angels….” 7 husbands, but none in heaven
REVELATION 19:7
• “Let us be glad and rejoice, and give
for the
marriage of the Lamb
is come, and his wife [those ‘in
honour to him [Jesus]:
Christ’=the Body of Christ, the true
Church] hath made herself ready.”
MORMON DOCTRINE
• Jesus and Lucifer are “brothers.”
• “The appointment of Jesus to be the
Savior of the world was contested by one
of the other sons of God. He was called
Lucifer, the son of the morning. Covetous
of power and glory, this spirit-brother of
Jesus desperately tried to become the
Savior of mankind.” (The Gospel Thru the Ages, p. 15)
MORMON DOCTRINE
• God the Holy Ghost: “You may call it the
Spirit of God, you may call it the influence of God’s intelligence, you may call it
the substance of his power; no matter
what it is called, it is the spirit of
intelligence that permeates the
universe…” (Mormon Doctrine, pp. 752)
• Holy Spirit = impersonal force!
GOD THE HOLY GHOST
• If, according to Mormon doctrine,
“Gods” are individuals who have passed
through mortality and have progressed to
Godhood, how has one person of the
Godhead (the Holy Spirit) attained Godhood without getting a body? (see Acts
5:3,4; and Mormon Doctrine, 752, 753)
MORMON DOCTRINE
• According to Mormon doctrine, God the
Father and God the Son were once men
exactly like us who became gods. In the
same way we will become gods and rule
over our own planets. All men and
women are pre-existing spirit offspring of
Heavenly Father and Heavenly Mother.
(Mormon Doctrine, p. 589)
MORMON DOCTRINE
• God the Father is married and there is a
Mother God (Answers to Gospel Questions, Joseph Fielding Smith,
vol. 3 P. 143-144).
• Temple ceremonies include baptism for
the dead, washing and anointing for dead
and living (Mormon Doctrine, p.72-74; 226-228).
• The Bible has errors and missing parts
(Articles of Faith No. 8,Ensign Jan. 1989, p. 25,27).
SALVATION=FAITH+WORKS
• “However, one of the untrue doctrines
found in modern Christendom is the
concept that man can gain salvation…by
grace alone and without obedience. This
soul-destroying doctrine has the obvious
effect of lessening the determination of an
individual to conform to all of the laws
and ordinances of the gospel….” Mormon
Doctrine, McConkie, p. 670,671
EPHESIANS 2:8,9
• “For by grace are ye saved
through faith; and that not of
yourselves: it is the gift of
God: Not of works, lest any
man should boast.”
ROMANS 3:23,24
• “For all have sinned and come
short of the glory of God; being
justified freely by His grace
through the redemption that is in
Christ Jesus. . . .”
TITUS 3:3-8
• “Not by works of righteousness
which we have done, but according
to His mercy He saved us. . .which
He shed on us abundantly through
Jesus Christ our Savior; that being
justified by His grace….”
ISAIAH 43:10,11
• “Ye are my witnesses, saith the Lord, and
my servant whom I have chosen: that ye
may know and believe me, and
understand that I am he: before me there
was no God formed, neither shall there
be after me. I, even I, am the Lord; and
beside me there is no Savior.”
ISAIAH 44:6
• “Thus saith the Lord the King of Israel,
and his redeemer the Lord of Hosts; I am
the first, and the last; and beside me
there is no God.”
• REVELATION 22:13
• Jesus said, “I am the Alpha and Omega,
the beginning and the end, the first and
the last.”
MORMONISM=MURDER
UNFORGIVABLE
• Murder is “a sin for which there is no
forgiveness.” (Mormon Doctrine, p.520;
Doctrine and Covenants, 42:79)
• Joseph Smith: “Thou shalt not kill; and
he that kills shall not have forgiveness in
this world nor in the world to come.”
(Doctrine and Covenants 42:18)
• Saul=Paul=murderer=forgiven!
FOR TRUE BELIEVERS IN
THE LORD JESUS CHRIST:
• Colossians 2:13: “And you, being dead in
your sins…hath He quickened together
with Him, having forgiven you all
trespasses….”
• “Having forgiven” Gk=Aorist tense=the
forgiveness happened at a point in time in
the past and the effects last eternally.
• “All” includes everything,excludes nothing.
JOHN 14:6
• Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the
truth, and the life: no man cometh unto
the Father, but by me.
• ACTS 4:12
• Neither is there salvation in any other:
for there is none other name under
heaven given among men whereby we
must be saved.

THE GOSPEL OF THE LORD
JESUS CHRIST
• Christ died for our sins according to the
scriptures; and that he was buried, and
that he rose again the third day
according to the scriptures: and that he

• The evidence that Jesus rose from the
dead: He was seen, seen, seen, seen!!!
And this is the record, that God hath given to
us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.
• He that hath the Son hath life; and he that
hath not the Son of God hath not life. These
things have I written unto you that believe
on the name of the Son of God; that ye may
know that ye have eternal life, and that ye
may believe on the name of the Son of God.
