1. Position: MANAGER, OFFICIAL RECEIVER/LIQUIDATION

(1) –HEAD OFFICE.

Reports to: REGISTRAR GENERAL

Duties: a) Implements Orders or Resolutions for liquidation, and bankruptcy directed to the Official Receiver. b) To take over, verify, secure and manage the assets and liabilities that fall under corporate and personal insolvents. c) Manage and supervise the unit t of Official Receiver. d) Prepare work plans and the budget of the unit. e) Supervise and appraise staff in the unit f) Maintain up-to-date records, manuals and electronic databases, and inventories of the assets of the corporate and personal insolvents. g) Coordinates the collection of the fees due to the Official Receiver, and account for the assets and estates under receivership h) Represents the official receiver in Court and in the management of estates under receivership. i) Allocates w o r k t o h i s su bo r dinat es and supervises their performance. j) Perform any other duties that the Official Receiver may assign to him or her.

Key output a) Court orders to liquidate companies received and executed. b) Real estates and other assets of companies under liquidation taken over. c) Valuation of property carried out. d) Statement of a f fa ir s prepared and creditors meetings held. e) Creditors verified and paid off. f) Legal advice relating to company liquidation tendered. g) Official Receiver represented in Court. h) Assets preserved and managed. i) Report on adequacy of systems and procedures j) Strength and w e a k n e s s of the system and procedures. k) Schedule of unit operations. l) Lists operation benchmarks. m) Report on implantation and effectiveness n) Work plans and expectations of each staff. of the strategies.

Qualification and Experience: a) An Honors Degree in Law with a Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice. b) A minimum of 5 years relevant experience in legal related institutions. c) A masters Degree is added advantage d) Should be enrolled as an advocate.
