Prepare plans and specifications for acquisition of supplies and equipment. Develop and maintain a staff training program to include techniques, methods, products, and equipment use. Perform human resources functions including interviewing, selection, training, performance evaluation, salary determination, promotion, disciplinary action, and maintenance of administrative records. Counsel support staff on policies, procedures, and methods to ensure uniform standards for all residential facilities. Resolve operating problems and employee complaints and grievances. Plan and supervise custodial services for University residential units and complexes. Consult with managers on work schedules and priorities. Participate in University Housing & Dining planning policy and procedural meetings. Recommend major building repair, replacement and modification projects. Ability to effectively transmit, receive and accurately interpret ideas, information and needs through appropriate communication methods and behaviors at an extensive proficiency level.
