Create Your Own
Body System Booklet.
7.L.1.4 Summarize the general functions of the major systems of the
human body(digestion, respiration, reproduction, circulation, and
excretion) and ways that these systems interact with each other to
sustain life.

I will …design and create a booklet and research the individual
organs that make up the systems.
Criteria
*Use old red science book as a resource beginning on page 148, chapter 5.
*Use your notebook beginning with page 87.
*Set aside enough pages for each and every body system.
*Leave enough space to research and document your findings on each
system.
*Use drawings and illustrations to fully explain the system.
*You may combine related systems such as……
*cardiovascular and circulatory systems.
For each system…
*List and illustrate the individual organs that
make up the system.
*Research and explain the structure and function of each system.
*Explain how the system interacts with at least one other system in the
body.
*Research and identify a disease that affects each system.
* Include all vocabulary words, definitions, and key terms.
You will receive a grade on quality and quantity of work obtained on each
system. You will receive a grade daily for effort. Work will be graded according
to the attached rubric.
1st day in class we will do an introduction to body systems and setup our
booklet.
2nd day in class, we will begin with the Skeletal system, the Muscular system,
and the Integumentary system.
3rd day in class, we will work with the Cardiovascular system, the Circulatory
system, the respiratory system, and the lymphatic system.
4th day in class we will work on the Digestive system, the urinary system, and the
endocrine system.
Final day in class we will work on the reproductive system, the nervous system,
and finalize our completed product.
You are responsible for…
