Brief Description of work:
Both the above projects are of similar in nature having defined and undefined works as under:







Construction of Flow Diversion link between trunk sewers E and D lines of ADSSC.
Sewer Connection of Central Market Development to pumping station PS2. Abu Dhabi.
Construction of flow Diversion near Plot No.PA3 in sector S-23

Project: ADSSC Contract No. O - 1191 - Construction of sewerage scheme for Al Shawamekh, Al
Shahama, Al Bahiya, Al Sader, and trunk sewer for Falah and Shamkha Abu Dhabi - Additional
work Orders Sewerage works at Sector MW-5 Musaffah and W-21 Abu Dhabi,
Description of work:




Construction of gravity sewer network of pipe lines ranging from 160mm diameter Upvc to
280mm diameter Upvc and 200mm diameter GRP to 400mm diameter GRP by open cut method
and NDM along with associated manholes and chambers.
Construction of 1000mm dia Trunk sewer main using NDM 2.3 km long with connection to
existing Trunk sewer.
Construction of 2 Nos. of sewerage pumping stations, demolishing of existing pumping station.
Construction of sewer pressure line 1000mm dia GRP from MPS 8 to Mafraq waste water
treatment plant, along with associated chambers community. The proposed pressure line had
conflict with many existing services, such as existing storm water and irrigation lines, Estisalat
chambers, and existing sewer pressure lines.

The scope of work under this contract comprises of carrying out the infrastructure works at Oud
Al Muteena areas of Dubai Emirate, as detailed here in:
The construction of gravity sewerage networks of 74.6 km of different pipe materials and
diameters and associated manholes 860 nos. and
The Construction of sewerage house connection network of 160mm to 200 mm uPVC pipes,
arppox.11.6 km and associated house connection chambers more than 1000 nos.
The construction of gravity drainage network of more than 55 km of different pipe materials and
dia (from 250mm dia uPVC to 1300mm dia GRP) and associated manholes (560 nos. gullies.
Carrying out the sewerage wet connection for 560 no. villas and 80 no. labor accommodation
buildings at Sonapur area.
Execution of 17 no. of road crossings using NDM method and pipe jacking.
Construction of drainage detention pond and associated structures of Total area: 108, 702 m

Duties and Responsibilities Performed as ARE:















Assist the Resident Engineer in performing the contractual duties on site.
Provides supervision of field inspection and ensure that the project specification/requirement is
carried out to the client's satisfaction
Supervising the contractor to achieve construction in accordance with the contract documents,
budget and time frame.
Monitoring the progress of construction against the approved program and take the necessary
steps to achieve the progress as per approved program.
Review contractor's submissions (Project Quality Plan, Safety Plan, Method statement, shop
drawings, materials, and monthly payments).
Provide all necessary on-site direction and issue site instructions, NCR,s to ensure quality on site.
Supervise site inspection staff and advise them for inspection needs.
Ensure that all materials and equipment to be incorporated into permanent constructions are
incompliance with contract plans/specs with client approval.
