Bond Practice Paper - at least 11x17 - sturdy paper
with some "tooth"
Graph Paper Pad - Blue Grid (10 square to an inch)
Practice - needs to be very light in tint
Writing Kit- including favorite writing tools, slant board
(if that's what you are used to) ruling supplies, pencil,
eraser, quote book
Brushes
- mixing brush
- 1/2" "Brights" flat brush (Winsor Newton 995 is
good* many of the craft brush are very flat and flexible
and fine for the job)
- ¼” Flat Brush
Gouache - Winsor&Newton is best. Have at least black
and white (Jet black and Permanent White) with
primaries (Flame Red, Ultramarine blue, Lemon yellow,
Brilliant Green)
Water Jar (I also like a little water sprayer or pipette to
reconstitute dry colors)
Mixing tray (six depression plastic palette, shallow
dishes, small plates, small muffin tin)
Mat board Scraps 3"x 8".....just a small piece, what you
have around.....
Bring some Arches text wove and at least one sheet of
dark (black, blue, dk red, dk green) paper - Canson Mi
Tientes is good for finished projects.
I will provide washed cotton in black and white "quilt"
squares for class exercises. You can bring fabric if you
wish.

Black Pearl (from Pearl Paints) - long wood handle,
brown fiber (golden taklon?)
Loew&Cornell 798 - White Takon (white acrylic fiber,
yellow and blue handle)
Winsor&Newton 680 (looks acts like previous)
Loew&Cornell 7300 - La Corneille “shader” (golden
acrylic black)

handle)
