Hello NHCC!
My name is Ryan Price and I am honored to be the new pastor of New
Hampshire Community Church! I grew up in Liberty Township, Ohio where I was
the youngest of three children. I went to Lakota East High School where I played
football and was also on the track and field team. Once I graduated, I attended The
Ohio State University where I graduated with a BA in Strategic Communications and
a business minor. It was at OSU during my freshman year that I faced the biggest
trial of my life up to this point. I was diagnosed with brain cancer but through the
grace and mercy of God, I was healed and He drew me close to Himself and this is
when I started walking hand in hand with God. It was at this time I surrendered my
life to God and He started calling me to ministry.
During my junior year, I met Courtney who was a freshman at Cornerstone
University in Grand Rapids, Michigan at the time. We got married two years later
after she transferred to Miami University in Oxford, Ohio during her junior year. At
this time, I was working as a salesman and customer service rep in Cincinnati
traveling much of the time. One day I was in my cubical frustrated and unhappy
while praying when all of a sudden God brought me back to that time on the hospital
bed when I told Him that my life was His. I realized God was calling me to full time
ministry. I was leading my small group at the time, but I felt God pulling me to
ministry and I knew that He would lead me away from my job in His timing.
In January 2010, God called me away from business and I started working at
Oxford Bible Fellowship, the church we were attending. That fall I started seminary
at Cincinnati Christian University and have now completed my Masters of Divinity in
Biblical Studies with a concentration in New Testament Studies. In August, Courtney
and I welcomed our first child, Hudson James, into the world and after teaching for
four years, Courtney felt God’s calling to stay home and raise him (as well as future
children!) before returning to teaching.
I enjoy sports, but mostly Buckeyes and Bengals football, reading, fishing,
biking and spending time with my wife, son and dogs. We are excited and blessed to
be a part of what God is doing at NHCC and hope you will join us to see what
awesome things He does in the future!
