Team Leader
Location: Green Bay
Reports to: Finished Goods Area Leader
PURPOSE OF POSITION:
The Team Lead position is an on the floor leadership position for each crew of operators that spends
the majority of their time operating a forklift.
FUNDAMENTAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Essential Functions:
1. Daily responsibilities will encompass both material handling (see Forklift Operator job
description for details) as well as leadership and administrative job duties
2. Provide positive reinforcement as well as constructive coaching to other team members
3. Conduct operations and model behavior that promotes a safe environment. This would include
looking in the direction of travel, wearing a seat belt, driving at an appropriate speed, and
appropriate use of the horn as examples.
4. The ideal candidate must have good customer service skills
5. Lead by example- following and enforcing policies and rules
6. Must have fork lift experience
7. Must have experience with WMS
8. This individual must have good written and verbal communication skills:

With employees

With management
9. Must be able to train new operators
10. Must be flexible for meetings, training and coverage on floor
11. Must take ownership of team
12. Provide on-site safety observations, leadership and support
13. Dress appropriate: clean, free of holes, non-offensive clothing
PHYSICAL DEMANDS OF THE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Sitting, talking, hearing, and vision are required over 95% of the time, while walking is required about
15% of the time. Feeling is required 75% of the time, and reaching is required about 20% of the time.
Bending, twisting, and climbing are required less than 10% of the time. Low levels of lifting (10
pounds or less) is required about 10% of the time, while medium levels of lifting and carrying (20 to
40 pounds) are required less than 5% of the time.

Over 95% of the time is spent indoors, with protection from weather conditions. Exposure to
distracting or uncomfortable noise levels is present only in unusual situations.
EQUIPMENT USED TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Computer terminal, printer, calculator, copy machine, fax machine, E-mail, GP driver radio, label
printers and telephone with voice mail.
QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED:
A high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalency is required. Ability to correct conditions that affect
employee safety. Able to meet the customers needs while following company procedures.
Warehouse Management System experience preferred.
