DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES
 Instrument planning, lay-out, design and estimate.
 Programming, wiring and installation, troubleshooting and maintenance of
PLC (Programmable Logic Controller)
 Set-up and Configure, wiring and installation, calibration and
troubleshooting of temperature controller and chart recorder, inkjet printer,
metal detector, frequency drive or VFD (variable frequency drive), level
controller, PH meter, soft starter, weighing scale, and any related industrial
instruments.
 Support production operation by giving them maximum technical services in
case of any trouble of machine or equipment in order to minimize the
downtime.
 Improvement of existing operation by placing interlock timers, sensors or
reprogramming and revision of the system for efficiency, quality, safety and
energy conservation reason.
 Upgrading of traditional relay controls in PLC operated system such as
cooker/cooler, PVS seamer and whalloon palletizer.
 Verification of truck scale and all weighing scale in the cannery ensuring
that it is within the standards and tolerances.
 Do servicing and maintenance schedule of printers, canalyzers, pneumatic
and pressure regulator valves.
 Calibration and verification of metal detector ensure that it is within the
threshold limits.
 Installation of RTD/ Thermocouple, IP transducer and modulating valve for
temperature recorder/controller.
 Observe process operation and impose an idea for the improvement of
process in relation to efficiency, quality, safety, and energy conservation.
 Ensure good printing quality of all can printers in the line.
 Do pre-operational check of all controllers, valves, pressure gauges, sensors
and other instrument used in the line. See to it that these are in good
condition prior to operation.
 Electrical project planning lay-out and design.
 Overhauling of induction motors
 Operate generator set during power outage.
 Power plant monitoring every hour, such as; line to line voltage, amperage
of every feeders, kilowatt-hour, power factor and capacitor bank.
 Does preventive maintenance schedule of all electrical motors in the cannery
such as; megger testing, measure voltage/current/resistance and other
electrical parameters if necessary, then servicing and motor alignment.
 Do visual and hearing observation on all running motors. Observe if there
are sign of excessive noise, vibration or overheating. Schedule for servicing
if found abnormal.
 Fixing of all cannery deficiency such as; changing of busted lightings and
replacing of corroded electrical conduit.
 Harnessing of wires.
