WHAT IS CARBON OFFSETTING?
Carbon (GHG) off-setting occurs through monetary investment in climate protection
projects. The amount is equivalent to the monetary value of emissions produced by
the investor.
Such projests usually replace fossil energy sources with renewable energy sources
and/or by implementing energy-efficient technologies, like solar coukers , wind
farms, biofuel
They are arranged by a commercial carbon offset provider, such as myclimate.

“Climate Neutral “is a product that its carbon footprint is zero
CSE , calculates the Greenhouse Gases (GHG) Emissions that are emitted during the
production process (for products) and their operation(for stores/offices) and offset
the calculated GHG through myclimate
The studies are based on the internationally recognized Greenhouse Gas Protocol

The calculations of the GHG emissions and offsetting is only one stage of the
environmental commitment of a company
Main objective is to take actions to minimize the GHG emissions and then to offset
the rest

This certification tops Gaea’s olive oils as the 1st Carbon Neutral Olive Oils
Worldwide and at the same time they are the 1st Carbon Neutral consumer products
in Greece.
GAEA is leading the way in the international olive oil industry with a "green rev-oilution" to reduce the environmental impact of its operations, from cultivation to the
shelves of the supermarket.
