Mondays, until August 25, Free to Move will be demonstrating Afro-Latin and Cuban-style dance moves at Tall Ships Quay on the Halifax waterfront. From 6pm to 7pm there will be an intro class to different Latin dances, and open dancing from 7pm to 9:30pm. The music will be mostly salsa, but will also include some bachata, merengue, kizomba, reggaeton, and dance hall. On Thursdays this summer (7:30pm, weather permitting), the Folkdancers’ Association of Nova Scotia will offer a relaxed, recreational setting for folk dances near Alderney Ferry Terminal.
